I get that you can always win but I would like to win for a change. I like the atmosphere, staff, and games, so that keeps me coming back.and I expect it will be much better when the expansion is completed next summer.You're ending up feeding either the same machine or multiple machines to win nothing and when you do its not even half of what you put in it. it's a casino, but in my opinion, one of the better ones I have visited. Some days you hear them announcing lots of jackpot winners, some days not so many. Good place to enjoy with friends, listen to their music (live bands with no cover charge), and grab some good food & drinks. Also they are in the middle of expanding the casino. They have a sit down restauant ( Sand Hill), an Italian and burger fast food court (Villas & Johnny Rockets). For a mid-size casino, the food court is good. Comps aren't that great compared to say a casino like Fourwinds (which is awsome), but I think they are trying to step up on that. As far as the casino staff is great, security is awsome, and they still have tables that are $5 minimum. I mostly get my money back depending on how 'I bet and distribute' my monies. If you go to get rich, then you shouldn't go to any casino. Reading the other reviews to me sounds like sour grapes.

They keep up with the lastest / popular slots. They have a variety of slots and tables games. Overall, I had an awesome experience, and will definitely go back when in the west Michigan area again. I met several helpful gamers, who gave me tips on some of the games, and some very nice people to interact with while playing. I rated it 'average' solely for the fact that in today's world of non-smoking laws, they still allow smoking in a crowded environment like that - rather than having a separate area for smoking gamers, outside of the main area. I did not detect smoke on my clothing/coat the following day. However, the few people that were smoking next to me seemed to be trying to keep any smoke from getting on others, and the exhaust helped to draw it upwards. The casino in my home area is non-smoking, so the smoking environment was the biggest annoyance at times. I was there for 5 hours and played on about 8 different video slot machines. I went with $200 and came home with $476. I had no trouble finding fun machines to play on, and with the exception of two machines, I got a decent payout on every machine I played. It was packed, and the isles are quite narrow, compared to my home area's casino. I'm from out of state and went to the Gun Lake Casino with my daughter and other family members, on Christmas day 2016.
